General Admission Hours
The Franklin Institute is open daily from 9:30 am - 5:00 pm.
Closed New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, December 24, and December 25. Closed for private events on November 27, December 14, and December 15.
The Art of the Brick Additional Evening Hours: Fridays & Saturdays, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm (last entry ticket at 6:30 pm).
Museum Updates
Please note the following updates as you plan your visit:
- Body Odyssey, featuring the Giant Heart, will open on November 23.
- Hamilton Collections Gallery, featuring the Baldwin Locomotive, will open on November 23.
At this time, both galleries are closed for exhibit installation.
Know Before Arriving
- Skip the lines: Buy tickets in advance and guarantee your preferred times!
- Be a member: Members do not pay services fees! Book online or call 215-448-1200 to get tickets at your convenience.
- Make the most of your visit: We offer specially crafted itineraries, planned just for you!
- Strollers: Strollers are welcome in the museum. However, large toddler carriers, double-sided strollers, and jogging strollers are not recommended in special exhibition galleries due to space constraints.
- Lost & Found items are held for up to 24 hours in a museum's guest services office before moving to our central lost and found office, which can be reached at 215-448-1200.
