Have you noticed that when it's really cold outside, you can see your breath? Do you know why? Traveling Science Show Presenter David Henry Wrigley explains.
You will find out that when we breathe out, we exhale many different gases including nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, water, and thousands of tiny particles we call condensation nuclei, or "cloud seeds." In cold weather, when we breathe out, water from our breath condenses onto these condensation nuclei, allowing us to see our own breath in tiny little cloud formations!
