Science After Hours is an evening event series exclusively for adults ages 21+ curated by Philadelphia’s premier science museum in collaboration with organizations across the city.
Each evening showcases a different theme and includes cash bars and opportunities to explore The Franklin Institute’s hands-on exhibit spaces. Enjoy live performances, surprising challenges, unexpected extravaganzas, and more, depending on each evening's lineup.

Science After Hours: Rhythm & Booms
Dance your way through exhibits, sip sun-soaked drinks, and dive hands-first into activities inspired by music and sound and produced by partners and creators. Then, just as the beat drops, cue the explosive, heart-pounding live science “booms”!

Know Before Arriving

This is a 21+ event. A valid form of identification will be checked upon entry.

Attendees are allowed small clutch bags only (4.5” x 6.5”).

Food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages, will be available for purchase at various stations located throughout the museum provided by Seravezza Events.

While we encourage everyone to dress up to the theme, there is no formal dress code for Science After Hours; however, please note that full-face masks are not permitted, and shoes, tops, and bottoms are required for entry.
