Join us for a live Conversation Lab featuring world-renowned scientist David Liu, a pioneer in gene editing. This interactive event explores how gene therapies are transforming medicine and improving lives.
Liu will share insights from his groundbreaking research to guide a discussion of how these treatments evolve from bench to bedside--led by Chief Bioscientist Jayatri Das with local leaders in gene therapy innovation, including Penn Medicine physician-scientist Defne Amado, GEMMABio chief scientific officer Juliette Hordeaux, and patient-centered research advocate Tracey Sikora from the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD®).
The event begins with a keynote by Liu and closes with case study explorations among small audience groups and a Q&A session.
- As we continue to unravel the complex biology of disease, where will this innovative technology have the greatest impact?
- What challenges lie ahead?
- What is the unique role of patients as essential partners in this research?
