Get ready for a night where science blooms and booms at every turn. Wander through the museum and dive into dazzling exhibits, explosive demos, and hands-on activities that’ll grow your curiosity. In partnership with PHS, this vibrant celebration promises a fusion of flowers, flames, and fascinating discoveries. Embrace the “Booms & Blooms” theme — rock your boldest florals, brightest sparkles, and most colorful fits. Science has never looked this fresh!

What to Know:
- Tickets do not include access to any special exhibition.
- This is a 21+ event. A valid form of identification will be checked upon entry.
- Attendees are allowed small clutch bags only (4.5” x 6.5”).
- Doors for the event will open at 7:30 p.m., with programming starting at 8:30 p.m. A complete event schedule will be released closer to the date.
- While we encourage everyone to dress up to the theme, there is no formal dress code for Science After Hours; however, please note that full-face masks are not permitted, and shoes, tops, and bottoms are required for entry.
- The Franklin Institute does not discriminate based on gender or orientation, race, or religion. Anybody found to harass other guests will be escorted from the event.
The award-winning PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is the nation's largest, and the world’s longest-running horticultural event and features stunning displays by some of the world’s premier floral and landscape designers. Started in 1829 by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the Show introduces diverse and sustainable plant varieties and garden and design concepts. In addition to acres of garden displays, the Flower Show hosts world-renowned competitions in horticulture and artistic floral arranging, gardening presentations and demonstrations, and special events.
