National Hispanic Heritage Month is observed annually from September 15 to October 15 to celebrate the rich culture and diversity of the American Latino community and the contributions of those that came from Mexico, Spain, the Caribbean, and South and Central America.
Produced in partnership with El Concilio; join us on Saturday, September 21 for a special day of programming that highlights the contributions of some of the amazing Philadelphia locals and organizations that help educate and nourish our Latino community.
All programming is included in your museum admission and takes place from 12:00 – 4:00 pm.
Featured Programming
Performances and lessons with Un Toque de Cache (Un Toque de Cache is a six-piece ensemble made up of vocals, percussion, saxophone, bass, and piano. They play traditional Latin Jazz Mambo and Cha Cha Cha and specialize in educating on the roots of Puerto Rican history with hands on performances.)
Performances and lessons with Un Toque de Cache will take place at 1:00 & 2:00 pm in the Atrium on Floor 2.
Trivia and Games with GALAEI (Galaei is a Queer and Trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (QTBIPOC) radical social justice organization. Continuing to serve the Latinx community, while widening our embrace, Galaei provides and facilitates Queer educational services, community wellness, and is committed to healing historical harm.)
