The Franklin Institute is proud to offer the Student Access Program for the 2024-25 academic year! This program allows eligible Title I schools to visit for free, making it possible for more than 30,000 students to enjoy interactive science every year at The Franklin Institute.

Eligibility:
To qualify for the Student Access Program, schools must meet the following criteria:
- Are in Pennsylvania, Delaware, or New Jersey
- Classified as a Title 1 school by the federal government
- Have at least 40% of the student body qualifying for free/reduced lunches
Program Details:
- Complimentary museum admission
- Students: All enrolled at eligible schools.
- Chaperones: 1 chaperone per 10 required, maximum 1 chaperone per 5 students included.
- Additional chaperones pay 17.00 per person.
- Groups can enhance their visit by adding
- Live shows - $5.00 per person
- Fels Planetarium - $5.00 per person
- Art of the Brick exhibition (through November 13, 2024) - $10.00 per person
- Reservations are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from September 23, 2024, through February 5, 2025, excluding black-out dates.
- Teachers may reserve up to 90 students and 18 chaperones on a single reservation. Schools wishing to bring more than 90 students on the same day may have different teachers submit additional forms.
- Reservations made by the same teacher for the same day will be treated as duplicate submissions and will not be accepted.
- Please ensure you have an accurate headcount when making a reservation! Space is limited and overestimating will impact availability for other groups.

Know Before You Go:
Chaperone Requirements:
At least 1 chaperone for every 10 students is required for all visits. Chaperones are adults (19+), including teachers, school staff, parents, and guardians. Students must always be accompanied by a chaperone during the visit.
Lunch Accommodations:
Groups that plan to pack lunches and eat onsite must reserve a lunchroom in advance. Lunch periods are 25 minutes long and may be shared with other groups. Lunches can be stored when packed together in clearly labelled bins prior to your arrival. Please note we cannot store lunches that are not packed and do not provide storage materials.
Payment:
Payment for shows and special exhibits is due at least 3 weeks prior to the visit.

3 weeks before your visit, you will receive an email to confirm your visit and update your final headcount. A response is required; if we do not hear from you, your reservation will be cancelled.
