Chief Astronomer Derrick Pitts hosts an evening of astronomy featuring a special presentation in the Fels Planetarium followed by telescope viewing of celestial objects across the night sky from the Holt & Miller Observatory and 5th Floor Roof Deck, with a cash bar available.
- 6:30 pm: Registration Opens
- 7:00 – 7:30 pm: Special Presentation with Derrick Pitts in the Fels Planetarium
- 7:30 – 10:00 pm: Guided observation from The Holt & Miller Observatory and 5th-floor Roof Deck
All ages are welcome. The cash bar will open following the presentation in the Planetarium.
The event is weather-dependent. If the initial date is canceled, the rain date is scheduled for Tuesday, October 8, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Ticket holders will be notified at least 24 hours before the event's start time if it needs to be rescheduled to the rain date, as determined by Chief Astronomer Derrick Pitts. If the rain date is also canceled, you will receive a full refund, or if you prefer, the ticket price can be donated back to the museum.
