Abby Bysshe is Chief Experience and Strategy Officer at The Franklin Institute, where she leads the institution’s strategic vision for visitor experience, exhibition innovation, and long-term growth. She oversees a world-class touring exhibition program while advancing initiatives that elevate the museum’s on-site and digital experiences, strengthen its business model, and position the organization for future relevance following its bicentennial.
With more than 20 years of experience in museum innovation, business strategy, and exhibition development, Bysshe has built a career at the intersection of cultural institutions and the broader location-based entertainment industry. Prior to joining The Franklin Institute, she worked in the exhibits department at the National Gallery of Art, then at National Geographic, where she led traveling and digital exhibition programs and directed national and international museum partnerships.
In Philadelphia, she serves as a Board Member of the Parkway Council Foundation and is an active contributor to civic and cultural initiatives across the region.
Bysshe has been recognized as one of Blooloop’s Top 50 Museum Influencers and was named a Women of Influence honoree by the Philadelphia Business Journal.
