The Franklin Institute Named One of the Best Science Museums and Planetariums in the Nation

Philadelphia’s premiere science museum earns dual national recognition in readers’ choice polls

Philadelphia, PA, February 27, 2025 – The Franklin Institute has been named one of the Top 10 Best Science Museums and Top 10 Best Planetariums by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for 2025.

  • Hamilton Collections Gallery – Surrounding the iconic Baldwin 60,000, a magnificent showcase of hundreds of artifacts from The Franklin Institute’s vast collection, highlighting scientific discoveries from the past two centuries. 

As one of the first in the nation, the Fels Planetarium remains a cornerstone of space education, immersing guests in the wonders of the universe through engaging storytelling and cutting-edge visuals.
