Prepare for liftoff! In celebration of Disney and Pixar’s upcoming film Elio (in theaters June 20), join us for a day of hands-on imagination-fueled fun for space explorers of all ages.
Just like Elio—a curious kid who accidentally becomes Earth’s ambassador to outer space—you’ll journey through the cosmos on your own adventure throughout our two-story Wondrous Space exhibit and space-themed programming.
- From building slime that glows in the dark to designing your own Communiverse cape, every activity aims to inspire curiosity, creativity, and connection, just like Elio’s intergalactic mission.
- Don't miss a special live science show exclusive to this day: Build-A-Space-Suit, a homemade approach to what it takes to make that first leap into space.
- Plus! Find one of three hidden Elio character cutouts to win a prize pack that includes four tickets to see the film. Bonus: One lucky finder will also receive a free family membership!

Elio will not be showing at The Franklin Institute, but you can catch a special trailer of the upcoming film before each Planetarium show during the event.
