Knowledge Power: Cancer Facts for Kids  In addition to learning about cancer, children will learn how to care for friends and family members afflicted with this disease.  Your class might decide to participate in a fund raising event to benefit cancer research.

Your students will probably become very interested in the Tour De France as well as confused about how it's scored.  Tours for Beginners explains the scoring system and provides information about the history of this race.  Invite your students to create a crossword puzzle or wordsearch from the TDF glossary.  They can also use these words to create online activities in Quia.
