Objectives - Overview
To find out what is meant by the
saying "Once in a Blue Moon" and why the saying
may have come to be. To appreciate the importance the Moon
seems to play in our lives through its mention in other
phrases, songs, or tales.

2. Other Moon Phrases are often used
in everyday conversation and written works.
Collect
pictures of the moon from magazines or create drawings and
prepare a collage for display. To accompany the collage
think of all the "Moon phrases" you have heard.
Put each phrase on its own small sign and see how many others
can define and how many have heard the phrase used before.
