 Priestley's Electrostatic Machine

As part of the Challenge of 'Priestley's Physics Project' students are expected to undertake a wider Internet search of Physics resources, and a review of their mathematics skills  in preparation for further study.

If you are a student, get started on the project.
Teachers; find out more.

This project was inspired by Priestley's Electrical Machine, an exhibit in the Science Museum in London.

The site explores Priestley’s achievements and offers an outline of the early discoveries into the nature of electricity.

You will find experimental research and presentation tasks rooted in our present day understanding of these early observations.
