UNIT 7K - Forces and their effects - Year 7

This unit, in essence, is building on all the work done at KS2.

Most of the site is relevant to this unit and particularly the Air Resistance and Gravity sections.

Children could look at the rocket activities site. The NASA site mentioned there has many exciting experiments particularly the blow rockets; and diagrams could be drawn with arrows to show the different forces acting on the models.

A stomp rocket kit is also excellent for this. Again the Parachute and Orreries and Helicopter activities outlined at are also examples of possible lessons.

Finally - this is probably the ultimate fun site on forces on the internet!
